What is Bonfire Night?
KS1
HISTORY – DRAMA WORKSHOP DAY
Based around a history topic of your choice our facilitator will take your children back to events in history using drama games, activities and techniques. The children become the characters and the emotions in the story; provide the voices and sound effects, use mime, freeze frame and tableaux to bring to bring characters and events to life.
The Gunpowder Plot
Using a time machine we take the children back in time to 1605, to meet a man called Guy Fawkes and his group of plotters as they make a plan to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London. Don’t bang your head as follow him down dark tunnels with barrels of gunpowder. Boom! Does the plot succeed or fail? The children learn how bonfire night started in this interactive drama experience.
