Avast me hearties! Our Pirate Captain’s last crew was eaten by a large sea monster - arrrr! So we be recruiting a new crew for our ship, mateys. Is your class bold enough to become our new crew and seek the pirate treasure?
This drama workshop involves working with two classes throughout the day. The pupils make a treasure map, then get recruited onto the ship by the Captain. In order to be accepted onto the crew they have to create their own pirate characters, learning to walk, talk and even sing like a pirate! They are put through their pirate paces before we go on an adventure to find the treasure on the map they have created.
A fun and interactive day designed to get your pupils excited about the topic - leading on to some great creative writing sessions and lots more ideas as to how to work with your pupils creatively.
The length of each drama workshop is 1.5 hours long, but we provide ideas for doing pirate activities throughout the day so it can be a fully immersive pirate day.
