Florence Nightingale
Who was this inspirational pioneering woman and why do we remember her? Our costumed character will deliver a drama workshop that will take your children back in time to discover the lady with the lamp. Come with us on a voyage of adventure! Learn all about Florence’s childhood, sail with us across the seas to Scutari Hospital and help to look after the poorly soldiers. A drama workshop that will inspire and educate your pupils with a question and answer session at the end.
Recent feedback - “We had a great day, where the children were exposed to and retained in some excellent information delivered in a clear and exciting way. We loved the costume (some children thought she was the real thing!) and loved the fact the children were so active.” Fosters Primary School, Kent
The Great Fire of London
Through drama games, activities and lively debate we travel back in time to 1666 to Pudding Lane meeting King Charles II, Samuel Pepys and the Lord Mayor of London and developing pupils speaking, listening, thinking and creative skills along the way. But be careful not to touch – it’s hot!
The Gunpowder Plot
This workshop takes your pupils back to 1605, where King James I is trying to change they way that people worship and a group of plotters decide the only way to change things is to use gunpowder! Through drama games, activities and lively debate we will help your students learn key features of a past event in British history, the sequence of events of the Gunpowder Plot, why we celebrate Bonfire Night, gain some insight into the Guy Fawkes and King James motivations .
