PSHE BASED DRAMA WORKSHOPS: KS3
KINGDOM OF RESPECT – INTERACTIVE DRAMA DAY
Our interactive drama day is great for an off timetable day – our team works with up to two classes at a time delivering a theatre workshop on the issue of respect, looking at various issues of self respect, respect for others, do young people feel they get enough respect from the media and the government – and why is this?
When each class is not working with us, they are working with their class teacher to create their “Kingdom of Respect”. The pupils decide as a class on a name, their 10 rules to live by and design a flag amongst other things. Within their class time they can make a model or create drawings of their Kingdom to show what it looks like and create a presentation to show their interpretation of the theme of respect. At 2.00pm all of the classes come together to show their work and introduce their Kingdoms to the rest of the year group.
