PSHE BASED DRAMA WORKSHOPS: KS3
CYBER-BULLYING – FORUM THEATRE WORKSHOP
Cyber-bullying is bullying using the internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. With the proliferation of new forms of technology cyber-bullying has become prevalent in the last few years. Our cyber-bullying forum theatre workshop for Key Stage 3 pupils aims to raise awareness of cyber-bullying and its effects. We use forum theatre techniques to explore what exactly cyber-bullying means. We look at the roles of bully, victim and explore the question of bystanders. By the use of hot seating the pupils explore the motives behind cyber-bullying and why each character behaves as they do, helped by our facilitator to guide the questioning in constructive directions. The pupils give advice as to what the characters should do next. We explore how pupils can keep protect themselves against cyber-bullying.
