For high schools we offer a range of drama workshops and assemblies that can be used as part of your everyday teaching or on particular dates throughout the year such as an off timetable day, a health week or anti-bullying week. Our interactive drama workshops for schools can be used to with KS3 pupils to teach subjects that some teachers find difficult to tackle in an interesting way, such as PSHE topics, and finding ways to bring Shakespeare to life.
With our PHSE drama workshops, we don’t provide the standard play with a message that the pupils can watch, our workshops use quizzes, drama games and drama techniques to encourage the pupils to voice their views and opinions. We believe that pupils learn about subjects better when they get a chance to be involved in the teaching, which is why all our PSHE drama workshops are interactive.
Our Shakespeare drama workshops are a great, fun way to introduce your pupils to the story, characters and themes of a play you are looking to study with them. Play in a Day can be adapted for any area of the curriculum; it can be used to introduce a topic and provide stimulus for further study or a nice way to conclude a topic you have been working on.
