Drama Work Ship Ahoy!

Workship Ahoy!

Workship Ahoy!

We have had a great time finding out all about the Titanic recently when working on a bespoke project for a school. Did you know that there weren’t enough lifeboats for everyone because the designers thought it “spoiled the look of the deck?” and that many of the lifeboats were sent out half empty? Or that the Titanic was never called “unsinkable” until it actually sank?

Thank you to St Patricks School for asking us to write this specially themed Play in a Day for them, we’ve really enjoyed the research and the writing, and especially enjoyed working with your extremely well behaved and good fun Yr ¾’s!

If you would like us to work on a bespoke project for you we are happy to discuss your ideas and bring your project to life. Please get in touch using our booking form or make a quick enquiry. And don’t forget if you want a special treat for one of your classes; don’t forget to book one of our Panto in a Day’s in time for Christmas!

Myths and Legends

In a certain high street bookshop recently we were amazed by the amount of literature that is being produced about TeethVampires. From as far back as 1897 when Bram Stoker produced his classic novel Dracula – to the latest craze about vampires, spawned by the fabulous Twilight series being read, watched and discussed all over the world, what is it about mythical creatures that we have always found so compelling? Not that we here at  Act On Info Towers are easily distracted, but after being talked into reading the Twilight books, we have lost several hours of our lives pondering the merits of Vampire versus Werewolf. Throughout the world there is a rich history of myth and legends telling tall tales about all kind of fantastical creatures like vampires including mermaids, ogres, ghosts, witches and pirates.  From Beowulf to King Arthur to Icarus, if you are studying the topic of Myths and Legends with your class this term, we would love to help you bring these legends to life. Think about introducing or concluding the topic with a Myths and Legends Play in a Day, assembly or drama workshop.  We promise not to bite..
