ACT ON INFO are an established team of professional actors and writers who have worked together for over ten years promoting learning and development using the creative medium of drama.
The objectives of the team are:
- To raise awareness of specific issues and topics.
- To use drama to create a forum for debate.
- To encourage participants to have the ability and skills to make informed choices.
- To work alongside each client to complement existing strategies.
- To encourage an emotional connection by making learning fun.
- To incorporate a range of learning styles to develop interpersonal skills in a safe environment.
Act On Info‘s work has been prolific over the past ten years. We have been commissioned by The Manchester Healthy Schools Partnership, Manchester Stop Smoking Service, Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester West Mental Health Trust among others to create plays and drama workshops for schools, youth and adult groups. We provide quality, interactive, topic based workshops, general drama workshops, play in a day or shows to larger groups.
Who are Act On Info?
Alison Dobson
Alison graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1996 with a Diploma in Higher Education and a BA (Hons) degree in Creative Arts. Alison started working with Act On Info in 1999, performing in anti-bullying workshops with the Central Manchester Healthy Schools Team and has continued to devise, perform in, facilitate and coordinate various projects up to the present day. Alison is also a professional actor and writer with years of experience in stage, film, training and corporate roles.

Helen Copley
Helen graduated from the University of Manchester in 1997 with a BA (Hons) degree in Drama. Helen started working for Act On Info in 2001 performing in Smoking Prevention workshops commissioned by Manchester Stop Smoking Service and has continued on to devise, perform in, facilitate and coordinate various projects up to the present day. Helen is also a professional actor and writer with years of experience in stage, radio, TV, comedy, training and corporate roles. Helen has a GCSE in dance which she is very proud of.

We also have a core group of experienced performers with whom we have worked for several years. They work with us on a freelance basis as projects direct. We only use people who are fully trained, experienced, police checked and have full public liability insurance.
